Welcome to our Kenya Blog. We hope this will be a good way for us to comunicate with you about our trip. First of all we want to thank you for your support prayfully and financially. We can not do this trip without you. Many of you have indicated that you are praying for us. We will keep you updated on this blog as to what you can be praying for.
Then when we are in Kenya we will try to update daily about our many adventures. We can't wait to tell you about them.
This week you can be praying:
- That our financing continues to come in. We are doing well but we still have a long way to go.
- We are working on the supplies we need to bring to do a VBS in Kenya. We need to make good decisions as to what we need and what we can do without.
- Four of our members are in school. Please pray that they keep up with their school work and can go on the trip without worries.
- Pray for health for all of us.

I see you are asking your friends/family to pray for finances - and you mentioned still needing more, right? Well, I'm sure you guys are brainstorming about ways to raise $$ - so I thought I might share a few I've seen recently.
Before the weather really changes, how about a car wash? Post it on your blog, advertise on the internet, penny saver, etc. Of course you will say it is "free" but donations are gladly accepted! I'd much rather give you guys my $15-$20 bucks than the local car wash joint. The other thing one of my friends recently did for the Breast Cancer Walk was ... they talked to a local Chevy's (or restaurant) who agreed to give them a percentage of the proceeds for anyone who came to eat there on the designated night - *if* they brought a flyer (regarding the fundraiser). The Breast Cancer Walking Team handed out the flyer to everyone they knew before the event *and* stood in the parking lot that night just in case any of their friends arrived without the flyer! LOL.
