Happy Thanksgiving from Nairobi, Kenya!!

We're here!! After 38 hours of travel time we arrived safely in Nairobi. It is pretty amazing that 37 of our 38 pieces of luggage made it also. And, praise God, the 38th was found and is being retrieved as I write!

Right now we are preparing VBS materials and practicing skits and at 1pm, Kenya time, Mayfield Guest House (our accommodations in Nairobi) is serving us a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. This afternoon the Team is heading out to the Giraffe Center and an animal park.

Tomorrow we drive to Kijabe to set up our VBS program. The conference begins in the evening and we are all very excited to meet our small groups for the first time.

We would appreciate continued prayer for adjusting to this time zone and for all us to remain healthy. (So far, so good)

  1. Thanks so much for letting all your fans know that you guys arrived safe and sound and with all your luggage (well, eventually). LOL. 38 hours to get there? OMGoodness. I'm not sure I could do that! I've been praying for the team and will continue to do so. Can't wait to read about how the VBS program goes. May God richly bless you as you serve Him in Kijabe! Love you bunches!

  2. Dear Kenya Team and especially my prayer partner, Pam--
I am still in MN and since I am two hours off my normal time, I lay in bed awake and pray for you, knowing that you are 7 hours ahead of me and beginning your day! I am praying for you to be aware of the Spirit's leading and unaware of yourselves. I am praying that your faces will shine with love and light. I am praying that the children who need extra encouragement or need to own their walk, will be challenged and loved.

    Trusting you to His care,
    Audrey B.
